GRAND Magazine: "Falling on your face is at least a forward movement!"

I had the pleasure of speaking with reporter Cheryl Harbour recently for a cover story in this month's GRAND Magazine, which covers the world of grandparents. We talked about my own grandmother and her advice to me as a young girl — the favorite was this gem: “Falling on your face is at least a forward movement!”

I now have 12 grandchildren of my own! And in the article, we talk about my career and the challenges of balancing work and family in the 1970s and 1980s, when I was starting out.
